"Little Man" Party!

I was so excited when I got a message from Gretchen, the owner of 3 Little Monkeys Studio saying that Amy Atlas featured her boy's "Little Man" party on her blog! Especially since my stamps were used to help in decoration for her party!! :D Take a look at the blog post below! I just simply copied and pasted from Amy's blog, but the link to the original is below as well : )) Eek!! How exciting!!
When this featured submission popped up in our inbox, it put a huge smile on my face. As a mother to two boys, I’m always referring to them as “My Little Men”.  Although I’m not the biggest fan of the “moustache trend” that we saw in 2011, this table by Gretchen from Three Little Monkeys Studio was done just right! Ever since her son was born, Gretchen and her husband have always called their son “our little man.” So it seemed fitting to design a Little Man Bash to celebrate his second birthday. Sweet treats included homemade whoopie pies, brownies, caramel cheesecake shooters {scroll down for the recipe below!}, moustache cookies, those amazing cake pops (half of which were created to look just like Gretchen’s son), doughnuts, cake and cupcakes. Moustache crayon favors and lollipops were given out to the lil guests, while adults took home gourmet chocolate bars covered in wrappers that matched the theme. Moustache stamps designed by The Skill Collector were used to give a personal touch to napkins, favor bags, invitation envelopes and bamboo utensils.  Scroll down below to see the vendor credits and to see Gretchen’s recipe for her Caramel Pretzel Crunch Cheescake Shooters!

Wild Photoshoot Inspiration

Something that I am super excited for is a photo shoot I have coming up. It's a "Wild" theme, so I feel like anything goes. After speaking with Raysa, my model, we both came up with some main ideas and things we want to go with. And, since i'm so excited, I made a whole pinterest board dedicated to this shoot! Hehe. Then I decided to put my new skill of making photoshop templates to use. And out came an inspiration board : )

  1. I could see this saying over one of the pictures that turn out! Maybe a bit faded with a crazy font? The hunt for fonts is next, i assume :P (via pinterest)
  2. I love the amount of trees surrounding this girl in the picture. Also, I like her pose. (via flickr)
  3. Another pose that I find to be interesting. And, I love the messy hair! Possibly propped up against a tree? (via pinterest)
  4. I just find this breathtaking. I want to do something like this in some way... I just don't know how yet. Love the gold light blurs as well... brushes, or natural? (via deviantart)
  5. To shoot with a "wild" theme... it's good to know the look you're going for ;) (via pinterest)
  6. Eye makeup is awesome! (via pinterest)
  7. Another lion face. Fierce. And teeth, perhaps? (via deviantart)
  8. More makeup. Love the use of rhinestones. (via deviantart)
Wish us luck on the shoot : ) I'll be sure to post pictures once we've finished <3

New Source of Inspiration

If you are someone who constantly likes to be inspired by new things like I do... you might want to jump onto the Pinterest wagon!

Pinterest is a website that has an endless flow of interesting posts that people "pin up" on their boards. You will find anything from interesting products to workout inspiration to DIY projects to amazing architecture all in one place! Find something you like, something that inspires you, or a new recipe you want to try and "repin" it to your own boards to look back on when the time is right! In the image above, you can see my collection of boards :) You can almost even think of it as bookmarks but in a much more organized, clean, and colorful way!

If you are a creative type in any aspect, you definitely want to get yourself onto Pinterest! Just be careful and don't fall into the habit of constantly searching and repinning like I did! Hehe
